Bhopal: It has been raining in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, for 3 consecutive days. On Tuesday afternoon, gusty winds blew with dark clouds and thundershowers were recorded in many parts of city. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain and hailstorm in many districts of MP till April 15.
The weather took a turn in the capital Bhopal on Sunday evening. It rained at many places in Bhopal in the evening. The sky was cloudy since Monday morning. It rained heavily in the afternoon. According to the Meteorological Department, 1.8 mm rainfall was recorded in Bhopal. Whereas 4.6 mm rainfall was recorded in Bairagarh.
The changing weather led to fluctuations in daytime temperatures across many districts. On Monday, light rain, thunder and lightning, and light showers were observed in various districts including Jabalpur, Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Sagar, and Shahdol.
Change in weather due to cyclonic circulation
Dr Vedprakash Singh, Senior Scientist at IMD Bhopal, attributed the changing weather patterns in the state to cyclonic circulation and the Western Disturbance.
Additionally, light rainfall and thunderstorms for these days are forecasted for many districts including Khandwa, Narmadapuram, Indore, Dewas, Sehore, Narsinghpur, Raisen, Bhopal, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Sagar, Jabalpuretc. Hailstorms may also occur in some areas.
