Group of youths leave under Maa Tujhe Pranam Yojana

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the achievements of young players of the state in the Asiad and Olympic Games are commendable. The state government will consider and implement all suggestions and proposals in letter and spirit to promote various sports and players, through better management. Coaches will also be eligible for promotion like normal teachers. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the National Youth Day programme at Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Center (Minto Hall) on Saturday. CM Dr. Yadav extended his best wishes and congratulated all the players and coaches who received the awards.

CM Dr. Yadav said that sports are a part of Indian culture. Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, we are reaching towards Gaganyaan from Chandrayaan. Our Yaans are now reaching the Sun. The 21st century will belong to India, this is no wild imagination.

Dr. Yadav honoured young entrepreneurs for their excellent work in various fields. The youth who were felicitated include National Youth Awardee Sakshi Bhardwaj, Ninad Adhikari awarded by Akashvani for Santoor Vadan, Ishaan Shukla in the field of writing and Deepanshi Vajpayee in the field of craftsmanship. Medal winning players and coaches of international competitions were also honoured in the programme. Among these players, Arjun awardee for Para-canoeing, Prachi Yadav was given Rs 1 crore 50 lakh and gold medalist in horse riding in Asian Games 2023 Sudipti Hajela was awarded a prize money of Rs 1 crore.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav presented prize money of Rs 50 lakh each to three silver medalists of Asian Games 2023, Neha Thakur (Sailing), Preeti Rajak (Shooting) and Kapil Parmar (Judo). Five other players were given a prize money of Rs 25 lakh each. These include Shri Dronacharya Awardee Shivendra Singh (hockey) and four bronze medal winners of Asian Games 2023.

Players who won bronze medals include Arjun Singh (Kayaking-Canoeing), Manish Kaurav (Para Canoe), Rubina Francis (Para Shooting) and Gajendra Singh (Para Canoe). Arjun awardee in Hockey Sushila Chanu was also given a memento. Many former international level players and coaches including Shri Dalveer Singh, Sameer Dad, Shivendra Singh, Manoj Jha, P.N. Prakash, Bhagwan Singh etc. were present in the programme.

Nimari folk artists gave a musical performance on Youth Day in the meeting hall of Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Centre. Balkrishna folk artists from Barwani district of Nimar region presented folk songs.

Group of youngsters flagged off

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav flagged off the vehicles of a group of youth who are going on a tour to Kevadiya in Gujarat under the Maa Tujhe Pranam Yojana. 125 girls are included in the scheme. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also got a group photograph taken with the youth of VLCC, an international organization working in the field of health and beauty. It was informed in the programme that the Directorate of Sports and Youth Welfare is also providing employment oriented training to the youth.
