Former minister Umashankar Gupta’s health suddenly deteriorates

BJP leader and former state Home Minister Umashankar Gupta’s health suddenly deteriorated on Monday morning. He has been admitted to a private hospital located at Jawahar Chowk.

According to information, he has suffered a minor heart attack. According to information received from hospital sources, Umashankar Gupta’s condition is improving after treatment. There are two blockages in his heart. The doctor has inserted a stent. At present he has been kept in the ICU of the hospital. Doctors have advised him to take complete rest and not take stress for now. It is noteworthy that Umashankar Gupta was a candidate for BJP ticket from South-West Assembly constituency of Bhopal. However, the party has declared Bhagwandas Sabnani as its candidate from this seat. After this, on Sunday, supporters of Umashankar Gupta reached the party office and demonstrated.

In the last assembly elections held in 2018, Umashankar Gupta was defeated by PC Sharma of Congress on the same seat.
