- GAD issues instructions
Administrative Correspondent, Bhopal
For the first time in Madhya Pradesh, government events will be organized to celebrate the Janmashtami festival. The General Administration Department has issued a letter to all divisional commissioners and collectors outlining the plans for the celebration.
This letter reflects the instructions discussed during a review meeting held on August 7, chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, emphasizing the need for action from the collectors. The Janmashtami festival will be celebrated with great enthusiasm across the state on August 26.
According to the instructions, vibrant cultural programs will be held at temples dedicated to Lord Krishna and other significant locations associated with him. Each district will participate in cleaning efforts and organizing cultural programs at Lord Krishna’s temples. Additionally, lectures by scholars and cultural events focusing on Indian traditions, yoga, and the teachings of Lord Krishna will take place in both government and private schools and colleges.
Cultural celebrations will also be held at key sites related to Lord Krishna’s life, including Janapav, Amjhera, Narayana, and Sandipani Ashram in Ujjain. In preparation for the Janmashtami festival, efforts will be made to educate the public about temple architecture and its scriptural significance, as well as to raise awareness of the events, stories, and narratives from our rich history.
