Bhopal: After a month-long wait, the auspicious period for weddings will soon begin. Following the onset of ‘Kharmas’ on March 14, with Venus entering Pisces and halting all favorable events, the situation will change on April 14 when the Sun enters Aries. This marks the return of wedding season, with 26 auspicious dates available for marriages between April 14 and July 6. This will bring back the sounds of dhols and shehnais across Bhopal and the entire state, as people can now plan weddings.
Astrologer Pandit Manoj Shukla shared that the wedding season will commence on April 14, with engagements and weddings starting again. In April, auspicious dates include the 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 25th, 29th, and 30th. Moving into May, people can also wed on the 1st, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 24th, and 28th. June will see weddings continuing on the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, and 12th, and then the final auspicious dates will fall before July 6.
This period will also see other important rituals like housewarmings and sacred vows, marking a resurgence of communal weddings. After July 6, the period of Devshayani will begin, pausing all wedding and auspicious events. Until then, families will have the perfect dates to celebrate the weddings of their children.
