Farmers will teach a lesson to BJP: Akhilesh

Fatehpur (UP), May 16 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav made a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government on Thursday for the plight of farmers and said that the tears of the farmers will teach them a lesson.

Addressing a meeting in support of former SP state President and party candidate Naresh Uttam Patel at Muslim Inter College in Fatehpur, Akhilesh said that the condition of farmers has gone from bad to worse during the BJP rule and farmers will take account of 17 years of it.

He said that in this government, nano urea has been imposed on the farmers, whose owners fled India. Citing inflation, he said that twice in 10 years, urea fertiliser bags have been revised and their size was reduced while the rate was increased.

The SP chief said 7 lakh youth have been deprived of employment due to paper leak in the last 10 years. “The quality of ration being provided to the poor is so bad that people are feeding it to their animals,” he alleged.

He said that the manner in which fun of youth has been made by recruiting Agniveers across the country, the same situation is now going to happen to the police of the state. “Agniveer is for four years but now police job will be for three years,” he claimed.

Akhilesh alleged that billions of rupees were wasted by holding a meeting of big industrialists from India and abroad but not a single industry was set up anywhere. “After June 4, the INDI coalition government will first end the joke with Agniveer and provide permanent jobs in the army,” he said.

He accused the state and central governments of leaking the recruitment papers only to end the reservation. “BJP has done a big deception with OBC, SC and ST people,” he said.
