Devotees offering prayers in temples and tableaux

Bhopal: The worship of Mother Goddess continues in the capital on Shardiya Navratri. Devotees are offering prayers in temples and tableaux. The tableau of Mahalakshmi temple of Kolhapur has been decorated in Bittan Market. There is a constant flow of people visiting here throughout the day. Along with darshan of Mother Goddess, devotees are enjoying other activities. Similarly, the tableau of Kashi Vishwanath in Barkheda and Khatu Shyam temple in Tila Jamalpura have been decked up. At MP Nagar, Jawahar Chowk, Indrapuri, Jumerati and other places, the tableaux of Maa Durga have become the center of attraction.

Arpit Tiwari, President Durga Utsav Committee Durga Chowk, said Durga Puja is organized every year by our committee Maa Durga Utsav Samiti Durga Chowk. Tableaux are set up continuously every year by the Samiti. This year tableaux have been brought from Ashta district of Sehore in which Ram Leela has been depicted. The administration is continuously active here. And our committee, which sets an example of Hindu-Muslim unity, gets the support of all religions, he said.

The holy festival of Navratri is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. In Bhopal too, a lot of enthusiasm is being seen among the devotees regarding this festival.

This time Maa Durga is present at more than 1300 small and big places. It is believed in the scriptures that the Goddess comes to earth during these nine days and gives the desired results to her devotees, hence Navratri is the best time to worship Goddess Bhagwati.

Pandals of Sarafa Bazar, Vitthal Market draw devotees

Pandals of Sarafa Bazar and Vitthal Market are attracting a large number of devotees. Durga Puja has been organized for the last 13 years at Chetak Complex, MP Nagar Zone-2. This time a 14 feet statue of Mata has been installed here. The idol of Mata has been installed at 1250 Arjun Nagar in the city for 36 years. This time the pandal has been specially decorated on the theme of the tricolor. Along with reverence, colors of patriotism are also being seen among the people.

Apart from this, the wonderful statue of Mother Goddess in Old Mata Mandir Platinum Plaza is attracting people. There is a lot of happiness and enthusiasm among the devotees. There is a gathering of devotees in the pandals. Devotees are meeting each other and wishing Durga Puja. At the same time, people are praying with folded hands in front of the divine and supernatural idol of Mother Goddess that their wishes be fulfilled.

Pandit Angad Tripathi told that Navratri festival is considered special in Hindu religion. Nine forms of Durga are worshiped during the nine days of Navratri. Tripathi said devotees should offer red clothes, shrifal and Suhag material, chant mantras with lotus garland. In the evening, light a lamp of pure ghee in front of the idol or picture of Mother Goddess and pray for happiness and prosperity. It is believed that Mother Durga comes riding on an elephant.

According to religious belief, when Mother Durga comes riding on an elephant, it is considered very auspicious. Maa Durga riding on an elephant brings with her lots of happiness and prosperity.
