New Delhi, Aug 24 (UNI) The Delhi Police Academy on Saturday organized a one-day workshop on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency for senior officers and investigating officers.
The workshop, inaugurated by Delhi Commissioner of Police Sanjay Arora, aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills attitude to address the challenges posed by these emerging technologies,” an official statement said.
During the workshop, IPS Bhushan Gulab Rao Borase, and his team from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA), Hyderabad, delivered an interactive lecture, ensuring that every participant understood the complexities surrounding Bitcoin through practical exercises and demonstrations.
The workshop was attended by Spl CsP, JtCsP, DCsP, and Investigation Officers from districts and specialised units.
IPS, Special CP Training Division Chhaya Sharma highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating that, “This workshop is a valuable opportunity for our officers to stay ahead of the curve and address the challenges posed by blockchain and cryptocurrency in an evolving criminal landscape and modern methods of committing financial crimes.”
