BJP-JDS tie-up:Yediyurappa to visit Delhi Wednesday

Bengaluru, Sep 12 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday said he would visit New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss the BJP-JDS pre-poll alliance in the state for the 2024 general elections.

Speaking to reporters, Yediyurappa said he would be meeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi and added the seat-sharing issue has not been discussed with JDS. “I will know about it after reaching the national capital,” he stated.

Yediyurappa, who is also a BJP Central Parliamentary Committee member, said he would talk about Ex-PM Deve Gowda with the central party leadership during his visit.

Indirectly attacking the Congress government in Karnataka, the former CM said it has failed on all fronts and lost people’s trust in a short span of time after coming to power. “The people are cursing the government, and no one expected that the Siddaramaiah government would lose trust so soon,” he said.

Yediyurappa also said he would take up a statewide tour after Ganesh Chaturthi against the lacklustre government, and strengthen the party in the state.
