BJP cross all limits: AAP on Delhi Police plans to quiz Kejriwal’s parents

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) After Delhi Police sought time with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s parents for questioning, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi on Thursday criticised BJP and said it has crossed all limits by calling in the CM’s old and ailing parents in the Swati Maliwal assault case.

Kejriwal confirmed on social media X: “I am waiting for the police with my parents and wife. Yesterday (Wednesday) the police called my parents and asked for time for interrogation. But they have not given any information yet whether they will come or not.”

Addressing the media, Atishi said, “Ever since Arvind Kejriwal got bail, the BJP (at the Centre) has been furious. It is continuously attacking and conspiring against him.” Delhi Police comes under the Ministry of Home Affairs of the central government.

“But today all limits have been crossed. Delhi Police will question Arvind Kejriwal’s ailing and elderly parents. Both of them are unable to walk properly without support,” Atishi alleged.

“Our Prime Minister has stooped so low that he is getting CM’s elderly parents questioned. I don’t think politics in our country has ever stooped so low,” she accused.

Kejriwal also posted a one and half minute video on X, showing him helping his father walk slowly, while his wife assists her mother-in-law. In another photo the elderly parents were seen waiting patiently on a couch.

The people of Delhi will give fitting reply to this through their vote. This whole thing is a conspiracy by the BJP, Atishi added.

Delhi goes to vote on May 25, Saturday.
