- Umang 2023 inaugurated in Bhopal Haat

The national level exhibition-cum-sale Umang 2023 organized by NABARD was grandly inaugurated on Friday at Bhopal Haat located in Maharana Pratap Nagar, the heart of Bhopal. With the aim of promoting the products of self-help groups, artisans and farmer producer organizations and providing them a platform, a national level exhibition-cum-sale is being organized by NABARD from 22 to 31 December at Bhopal Haat, which was inaugurated by Rekha Chandnaveli, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, Bhopal at Bhopal Haat premises. Hemlata Jain Rachna said that while inaugurating the exhibition, the Regional Director said that NABARD, along with financial institutions, state government and NGOs, is giving important support in taking the state on the path of prosperity through its innovative initiatives.
Handicraft charms public
NABARD has given GI certificate to some important products of the state like Gond painting of Mandla, handmade carpet of Gwalior, Sharbati wheat of Sehore, stone craft of Jabalpur, Varasivni Hatkardha saree of Balaghat, batik print dress material of Ujjain, duppata, saree etc. -Cooperation is also being provided in getting letters and ensuring market availability for selling those products.
