AP: Pawan Kalyan meets Naidu, discusses about seat sharing

Vijayawada, Jan 4 (UNI) Film hero turned politician and Jana Sena party chief K Pawan Kalyan met Telugu Desam party national president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at latter’s riverfront residence at Undavalli near here on Sunday.

Both the leaders discussed seat sharing for the ensuing elections for about three hours. TDP and JSP have aligned in the state. It is learnt that both the leaders have come to a conclusion in finalizing candidates in most of the constituencies.

Mr.Naidu and Mr Pawan Kalyan have decided to convince the aspirants who would not be given tickets due to their seat sharing in some constituencies. Both the leaders earlier held a series of parleys in Hyderabad for four days on the seat sharing and on how to carry out a joint election campaign in the upcoming elections.

There are 175 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. In the 2019 election, the TDP and JSP contested separately in which the TDP won 23 MLA seats and 3 MP seats while the JSP won only one MLA seat. Mr.Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan with a sole aim of defeating the Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP aligned in the state and they are still expecting that the BJP would join their alliance.

Meanwhile, the YSRCP Machilipatnam MP Balashouri is all set to join the Jana Sena party in the presence of Pawan Kalyan in Machilipatnam.
