Amit Shah vows BJP’s commitment to safeguard SC, ST, and OBC reservations

Adilabad (Telangana), May 5 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah has pledged that the BJP will uphold the reservations of Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), and Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

Addressing an election rally in Kagaznagar in this district on Sunday, Shah expressed confidence in the Modi government’s prospects for a third term in power. With two phases of elections already completed, he predicted BJP’s success with 100 seats. In Telangana, BJP’s vote share is on the rise, and the party anticipates victory in 10 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on May 13.

Shah contrasted the campaign styles of Modi, who celebrates festivals with army personnel, with Rahul Gandhi’s holiday trip to Bangkok. He asserted that Modi’s popularity reverberates wherever he goes.

He accused Congress of obstructing the construction of the Ram Mandir for 70 years, with its completion achieved under Modi’s leadership. Shah lamented the absence of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi at the Ram Mandir inauguration, attributing it to vote bank politics.

Highlighting the BJP-led NDA government’s achievements, Shah mentioned the successful surgical strike on a terrorist camp in Pakistan and the proud display of the tricolour flag in Kashmir. He accused Owaisi and Rahul Gandhi of sharing the same vote bank and noted the absence of terrorist attacks during Modi’s tenure.

Shah condemned Congress’s circulation of a fake video alleging BJP’s intent to abolish reservations. He reiterated BJP’s commitment to protect SC, ST, and OBC reservations.

Critiquing the then BRS government and present Congress government for corruption in Telangana, Shah assured that BJP would address the neglect of projects like the Pranahita-Chevella and pledged to construct the Manchyryala-Utnoor railway line upon assuming power.
