Hyderabad, Sept 17 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday paid tributes to all who embraced martyrdom during the liberation struggle of Hyderabad.
Before addressing a public rally at Parade grounds, Secunderabad as part of Liberation Day celebrations, Shah posted on ‘X’, greeting people of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad on the occasion. It was on this day – September 17, 1948 – the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad merged with the Indian Union.
“Happy Hyderabad Liberation Day to all the people of Hyderabad. This day is a testament to the unwavering patriotism and the unceasing struggle of the people of the Hyderabad State for freedom from the evil rule and oppression of the Nizam”, he posted.
