Mumbai, May 5 (UNI) The poll panel on Sunday confirmed the validation of 301 out of 397 candidate applications for the fifth and final phase election in 13 Lok Sabha constituencies.
A total of 397 candidates have submitted their nominations for 512 seats in 13 Maharashtra state Lok Sabha constituencies on the last day for the fifth and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the state, the poll panel said.
During the scrutiny, applications of 301 out of 397 candidates have been validated, and 96 candidates were rejected.
The fifth phase of nominations revealed that 22 out of 22 candidates in Dhule Lok Sabha Constituency are from Dindori, 15 from Nashik, 36 from Palghar, 13 from Bhiwandi, and 30 from Kalyan.
The last date for withdrawal of candidature for this fifth phase is May 6 for May 20 polls.
