- Total 22 candidates file 27 nomination papers

Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan has said that as per the election program of Lok Sabha Elections-2024, the process of filing nomination papers for the third phase is going on from April 12.
On Monday, the second day of nomination for the third phase, 15 candidates submitted 19 nomination papers. Since April 12, 27 nomination papers have been filed by 22 candidates. Chief Electoral Officer Rajan has told that on April 15, 6 nomination papers were filed by 4 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 3 Gwalior, 2 nomination papers were filed by 2 candidates in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 5 Sagar, Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 18 Vidisha. In Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency Number-19, 4 nomination papers were filed by 3 candidates and in Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency Number-20 Rajgarh, 6 nomination papers were filed by 5 candidates. No nomination papers were filed by any candidate in the remaining Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 1 Morena, Loksabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 2 Bhind (SC) and Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency No. 4 Guna.
For Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency number 29 Betul, nomination is to be filed only by the candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party. No nomination papers have been received in this parliamentary constituency on Monday. The last date for filing nomination papers is 19 April. The nomination papers will be scrutinized the next day on April 20. Candidates who have filled the nomination papers will be able to withdraw their names till Monday 22nd April. Voting for the third phase will take place on Tuesday, May 7. Counting of votes for all phases of voting will take place on Tuesday, June 4.
