Kawardha (Chhattisgarh), May 20 (UNI) At least 15 people were killed after a pickup vehicle overturned in Chhattisgarh’s Kawardha area on Monday, police said.
All the workers had gone to the forest to pluck tendu leaves, and while returning from there, the pickup vehicle overturned uncontrollably and fell into a deep ditch.
In this accident, 15 people died and seven laborers were injured.
The accident took place near Bahpali village, under Kukdoor police station.
Kabirdham Superintendent of Police, Dr. Abhishek Pallava, confirmed the incident.
He said that as soon as the accident was reported, a police team was rushed to the spot.
