Women have 35 % reservation in police recruitment

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan transferred Rs 1597 crore to the accounts of 1 crore 31 lakh Ladli Bahnas in Burhanpur Mahila Sammelan. They have received an inceased amount of Rs 1250. Sheri Chouhan said that the women have been given reservation in the urban bodies and panchayats to enable them participate in administrative activities. He said that women have been given 35 percent reservation in recruitment of police force. Due to increased staff of police officeres, victimized women are being treated with sensitivity.

Shri Chouhan said the state government is striving to address all issues associated with women ensuring justice to them. Those committing crime against women will have to face severe punishment.

Shri Chouhan dedicated 26 works valuing at Rs 182 crore 72 lakh and laid the foundation of 19 works costing Rs 219 crore 60 lakh in Burhanpur district. Chief Minister also gave away benefits to eligible beneficiaries.

Shri Chouhan dedicated Asir-Dhulkot-Ghatakhedi road built at a cost of Rs 68 crore 21 lakh, over bridge built at Nepanagar railway crossing at a cost of Rs 38 crore 82 lakh, 50 seater degree college building Dhulkot, Community Health Center Nepanagar, arrangements for light and sound programme and other works at Shahi Qila Burhanpur. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also performed bhoomi pujan of Pangri Medium Irrigation Project worth Rs 145 crore, construction of 13.80 km long Nepaphata to Nepanagar road located on Indore-Ichhapur road worth Rs 23 crore and other works.

The Chief Minister said that Ladli Bahna Yojana has been started to increase the self-esteem and self-confidence of sisters. The State Government is striving to ensure that every women associated with SHGs get at least Rs 10 thousand per month.

Every household has tapped water supply in Burhanpur

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that issues of Sindhi brotherene in Burhanpur are being resolved. The will get new shops in place of burnt shops. The difference in amount will be borne by the state government. Tapti mega recharge plans will also be given concrete shape, so that there is no shortage of water. Under Jal Jeevan Mission in Burhanpur, tap water is being provided to all the houses.
