Voting percentage will increase in fourth phase of elections

Amidst the ongoing voting in 9 parliamentary constituencies for the third phase in the state, the Election Commission took feedback through video conferencing on the preparations for the fourth phase of voting in the state.

During this, state CEO Anupam Rajan, while giving details of the trends regarding voting in the third phase, assured the Election Commission that the voting percentage is expected to increase in the fourth phase. The CEO told the Commission’s Deputy Election Commissioner Ajay Bhadu that all preparations have been completed for fair and peaceful voting in all the 8 Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies of the fourth phase. Arrangements for cold drinking water, essential medicines and tents are being made at all polling stations. Voter information slips are being distributed. Continuous efforts are also being made to increase the voting percentage. The voting percentage in the third phase of voting has increased compared to the 2019 elections. The voting percentage in the fourth phase is also expected to increase. Rajan said that special precautions are being taken at the checkpoints along the border states. Deputy Election Commissioner Ajay Bhadu has appointed General Observers, Police Observers and Expenditure Observers of Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone and Khandwa Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies. There will be spot monitoring in the fourth phase also

The campaign towards ‘Chale Booth’ has started from Tuesday 7th May in all the polling stations of Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies in the fourth phase of voting. The Chale Booth campaign will be monitored on a large scale. The activities taking place during this campaign will be spot monitored by senior officials of the Chief Electoral Officer’s office.
