Vijayvargiya lands in soup over recent remark, EC seeks reply

Bhopal: The Election Commission has taken a firm stance in response to Kailash Vijayvargiya’s recent statement and has initiated an inquiry, seeking a report from the Indore Collector.

In the context of the Madhya Pradesh elections 2023, Kailash Vijayvargiya’s statement has generated significant controversy. The Election Commission of India has officially acknowledged his statement and has summoned a report from Indore Collector and District Election Officer, Ilayaraja T.

Kailash Vijayvargiya had made a declaration during one of his meetings, stating that he would offer a reward of Rs 51,000 to the BJP booth president in cases where the Congress fails to secure a single ticket. In essence, he was urging voters not to support the Congress by providing financial incentives.
