UP: Former SP MP Devendra Yadav joins BJP

Lucknow, Mar 17 (UNI) Former Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Devendra Yadav joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) family on Sunday along with a large number of his supporters at the party’s state headquarters.

Yadav joined in front of BJP state president Bhupendra Singh Choudhary and Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak. Besides, former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate from Lucknow Cantt assembly Anil Pandey and SP leader Sandeep Pal also joined the BJP along with their supporters.

While welcoming everyone into the BJP fold, state president Bhupendra Singh said that all those who are impressed by the ongoing development journey in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi are welcome to join the BJP.

He said that the resolve to build a developed India is being fulfilled through the public welfare schemes run under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the last 10 years. “Today, the changing India is ready to lead the entire world. All the people who have joined the party after getting impressed by the party’s ideology should become partners in fulfilling the resolution of crossing 400 seats and move forward together on the path of service, good governance, and poor welfare,” he said.

Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak said that all the people joining the BJP family are welcome. He said that Lok Sabha elections have been declared, and we have to work together to increase 370 votes at each booth as compared to the previous elections.

He said, “We have to work together to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s resolve for Viksit Bharat and participate in the BJP’s big victory on all 80 seats in the state. After joining the BJP, all of you have to go home with the responsibility that after reaching your district, together with the BJP officials and workers, the public welfare schemes of the BJP governments led by Modi and Yogi and the ideology of the BJP should be spread to the people.”
