UP : Case lodged against Ansari, his family for forcefully grabbing land of businessman

Ghazipur (Uttar Pradesh), Aug 14 (UNI) A businessman has lodged a case against mafia-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, his wife Afsa Ansari, son and MLA Abbas Ansari and two brother-in-laws for forcing him to transfer his land in their name, police sources said on Monday.

The sources said that Abu Fakar Khan, a resident of Rajdepur Shahri, lodged a case on August 12 that he owned valuable land measuring 0.029 hectare alongside the road opposite Rauja Homeopathic College.

“The complainant has alleged that Mukhtar called him to Lucknow jail and threatened him to get the deed of this land done in the name of his son Abbas Ansari,” they said.

The sources also said that Abu Fakar has alleged that after some days Mukhtar’s brother-in-laws Atif Raza and Anwar Shahzad took him to MLA Abbas’ residence and threatened him again to transfer the land.

“He has alleged that on April 25, 2012 the accused took him to the registrar office and forcibly got the sale deed executed in the name of Abbas,” they said.

Superintendent of Police Omveer Singh said that a complaint was given by businessman Abu Fakhar Khan that in the year 2012, Mukhtar Ansari and others got his valuable land in Rauja was transferred by intimidation and threats and he didn’t receive any money in return.

“Prima facie it is a serious allegation. A case has been registered against Mukhtar Ansari, his wife Afsa, son Abbas and two brother-in-laws and the matter is being investigated,” Singh said.
