‘Ujjain Investors Summit’ will be held on 1st and 2nd March

  • Efforts will be made to promote dairy, food items and religious tourism

An Investors’ Summit will be organized on a grand scale in Ujjain on 1st and 2nd March. It is noteworthy that the summit and regional industry conference to be organized in Ujjain in the coming days was discussed with journalists by Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation Limited. Rajesh Rathore, Executive Director of MPIDC Regional Office, gave detailed information about the Investors Summit through a powerpoint presentation.

He told that Ujjain, Dewas, Shajapur, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Neemuch and Agar-Malwa districts come under the regional office. Out of total industrial areas in our area, 11 are developed and seven are under development. In this, an area of 997.44 hectares has been developed and 1902.58 hectares of land is under development. A total of 133.66 hectares of land is available for industrial development in Ujjain, online allotment of which will be done in the coming days. Regional Industry Conference will be organized on 1st and 2nd March in the grounds of Government Engineering College. According to the proposed programme, registration will start at 9.30 am. After this, the inaugural session will be organized in Avantika Hall of Engineering College from 10.30 am. After this, sessions will be organized on investment opportunities in MSMEs and Startups, Madhya Pradesh from 2 pm onwards. A meeting with industrialists will be organized in the Malwa Hall of the college from 1.45 pm to 3 pm. Besides, a buyer-seller meet will be organized in Shipra Hall.

‘Buyer-Seller Meet’ and thematic session will be organized on March 2 from 10.30 am. After this, a presentation on tourism with focus on religious tourism and film production equipment will be given in Avantika Hall. A discussion session on opportunities and challenges of pharmaceutical and medical devices will be organized from 12 noon. After this, the concluding session will be organized in Avantika Hall from 1.30 pm.

= Rathore said that as per the intention of the State Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Investors Summit will be organized in a decentralized manner. Local investors will also participate in this conference. Besides, new industrialists will also be encouraged to set up industries. In this regional industry conference, the process of setting up industries promoting dairy, food products, agriculture, film production and religious tourism will be facilitated. This will provide employment opportunities to local people. Apart from this, medical device and pharmacy industries will also be established here. Apart from this, a plan will be made to create a cluster for setting up newspaper printing press machines in Nagjhiri. Rathore suggested discussing this matter with journalists separately.
