BJP has released the second list of its candidates. In this, the remaining five candidates of Madhya Pradesh have been declared. BJP has canceled the tickets of its sitting MPs from Balaghat and Dhar.

Dhar MP Chhatar Singh Darbar and Balaghat MP Dhal Singh Bisen have not been repeated. Savitri Thakur and Dr. Bharti Pardhi have been given tickets in their place. Whereas the party has again expressed confidence in Vivek Bunty Sahu from Chhindwara, Anil Firojia from Ujjain and Shankar Lalwani from Indore. Ujjain and Dhar are reserved seats for Dalit and tribal communities respectively. Whereas Chhindwara, Balaghat and Indore fall in the general category.

Keeping in mind the caste equations in Chhindwara and Balaghat, the party has given tickets to Bunty Sahu and Bharti Pardhi respectively. After tribals, the OBC community has the highest number of voters in Chhindwara. Vivek Bunty Sahu comes from the OBC community. Similarly, there is a majority of Kurmi and Pawar voters in Balaghat. For this reason, Bharti Pardhi of Pawar community has been fielded in the elections here. Anil comes from Firojia Balai community in Ujjain. Whereas Shankar Lalwani is the only Sindhi MP of BJP. Shankar Lalwani has been successful in saving his ticket because he comes from the Sindhi community. BJP has given tickets to two women in the second list. In this way, BJP has fielded 6 women candidates in the entire Madhya Pradesh. Last time, four women contested from BJP’s side. In this way, BJP has declared all its 29 candidates from Madhya Pradesh. BJP had fielded 195 candidates in the first list in which it had declared for 25 seats in Madhya Pradesh. A total of 72 candidates’ names have been announced in the second list. Of these, five are from Madhya Pradesh. Congress has declared 10 candidates in its first list.

Chief Minister did not intervene

Looking at both the lists of BJP, it shows that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has not interfered much in ticket distribution. If the Chief Minister had intervened, Anil Firojia probably would not have gotten a ticket from Ujjain. Even in the first list, more than half of the candidates were supporters of former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. In the second list also, Vivek Bunty Sahu, Savitri Thakur, Anil Firojia and Shankar Lalwani are his supporters.
