There is respect for faith with development in double engine govt: Yogi

Deoria (UP), (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the double engine government of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is a symbol of respect for faith along with development.

While addressing the Nari Vandan Vandan event at the sugar mill grounds here, the CM said that today the country is moving rapidly on the path of development. “Roads, electricity, health, education, food, clothing and housing are becoming accessible to the people of the country without any discrimination under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, those who play with security will have to pay a heavy price.”

He said that India is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term. “With India becoming the third-largest economy, the income of every individual in the country will rise, leading to enhanced prosperity in people’s lives,” he said.

During the programme, Yogi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 673 development projects worth Rs 679 crore. He emphasised that the entire nation is committed to realising the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India), with widespread support for ‘Fir ek baar Modi Sarkaar’ (Modi government once again).

He expressed confidence that the NDA would secure more than four hundred seats in the upcoming elections. He emphasised that the dream of having Ram Lalla seated in Ayodhya, cherished by our ancestors, has finally come true.

The CM said, “The five-century-long wait has concluded with the arrival of Ram Lalla. Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) governments would never have been able to accomplish this task. Double engine government means the development of the state and the country while respecting our heritage.”

He highlighted that Deoria, once renowned as a sugar bowl in the country, suffered due to the negligence of previous administrations, forcing Deoria and Kushinagar to lag behind. “The closure of sugar mills and their sale at throw away prices by past governments led to prevailing poverty in these regions,” he said.

Yogi mentioned that after the double engine government came to power in the state, efforts were initiated to revive the Pipraich and Munderwa sugar mills. “Additionally, our government is going to start a college of the Agricultural University being built in Kushinagar, in Deoria. The land of nature, God, and sages will no longer lag,” he said.

He mentioned that under the double engine government, significant progress has been made in Deoria. “This includes providing toilets to 2,44,000 families under the Swachh Bharat Mission, offering free gas connections to 1,95,000 families through the Ujjwala Yojana, electrifying 1,383 hamlets and opening Jan Dhan accounts for 10,84,000 people,” he said.

The CM said that Ayushman cards have been issued to 671,000 families under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. “While 85,000 gharaunis have been distributed, 17,358 poor families have been provided houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) in Deoria, 1,389 poor families have been given houses under the Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana and 24,000 poor families have been given houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban),” he said.

Prior to the event, the CM inaugurated and visited an exhibition showcasing ODOP products. He also distributed house keys, approval letters, Ayushman cards and smartphones to beneficiaries of various government schemes on the stage.
