Telangana CM issues stern warning of severe consequences for officials’ misconduct”

Hyderabad, Feb 2 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has issued a stern warning, declaring that the government would take stringent action against officials responsible for causing trouble to the public and tarnishing the government’s reputation.

The CM asserted that the government would not tolerate officials making decisions without proper consultation.

Expressing displeasure over the recent inspection of agricultural pump sets in Mahabubnagar district, the Chief Minister addressed the issue during a review of applications received in the recently conducted Praja Palana at the Secretariat on Thursday, according to an official statement on Thursday.

CM Revanth Reddy questioned TRANSCO CMD Rizvi about the survey of agricultural pump sets and the orders issued during the meeting.

He inquired whether any action had been taken against the officials responsible for the controversial survey.

Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, also present at the meeting, responded to the CM’s queries.

He explained that the issue of the survey of pump sets had come to his attention as well.

The Deputy CM revealed that DISCOM Director (Operations) J. Srinivasa Reddy had issued orders without departmental approval, and Superintendent Engineer (SE) NSR Murthy had implemented them.

Deputy Chief Minister Vikramarka informed the CM that Director Srinivasa Reddy had been relieved of duty, and the SE was transferred.

The Chief Minister cautioned officials against making decisions independently, emphasizing that such actions would lead to job termination.

He asserted that the government would not tolerate actions causing embarrassment to the administration.
