Hyderabad, Mar 23 (UNI) Union Minister and Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President G. Kishan Reddy rebuked former Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s condemnation of Delhi CM Kejriwal’s arrest in the liquor scam, likening it to the Guruvinda Ginja proverb (refers to people that don’t recognize their own faults).
Speaking to the media at party state headquarters here on Saturday, Reddy accused KCR of orchestrating a media conference with BRS party MPs to castigate the central government. He alleged that KCR’s daughter, MLC Kavitha, was implicated in the liquor scandal, suggesting a connivance between her and Kejriwal in altering liquor policies.
He dismissed criticisms from BRS, Congress, and TMC leaders, asserting that there was no direct link between the central government, CBI, and ED investigations.
” We are asking KCR whether he wants to leave the alleged corruption scandals of Kavitha and Kejriwal without investigation”, Reddy said
Reddy also questioned Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s silence on corruption issues, urging him to initiate a CBI investigation into irregularities in projects like Kaleshwaram.
He accused the Congress government of colluding with BRS and engaging in settlement politics, while accusing Rahul Gandhi’s associates of collecting funds through illicit means in Hyderabad.
Reddy emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stance against corruption and reiterated the BJP’s commitment to contesting all 17 parliamentary seats in Telangana independently.
Reddy maintained that the Narendra Modi government had never interfered with investigating agencies’ autonomy, refuting allegations of political influence.
