Sagar (MP), Jan 7 (UNI) A 13-year-old died after plunging from the roof of her flaming residence at Rampura Ward in this divisional headquarters, police said on Sunday.
The blaze – suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit – erupted within a photocopying outlet at Ashok Jain’s place during the intervening night. The family, which resides on the second floor, was awakened by the emanating smoke and raised the alarm. Firefighters rescued other members of the household.
The deceased was identified as Angel Jain who succumbed at an infirmary. Amrita and Vidan sustained burns and are hospitalised but stated to be out of danger.
