- Suicide suspected, was listening to bhajan before falling from high rise building
Bhopal: In a sensational incident in the capital of Madhya Pradesh, a 17-year-old student daughter of a police officer couple died of suicide by jumping from the ninth floor. Why she took this step, the reason for this has not been revealed yet.
The daughter of Additional DCP couple died after falling from the 9th floor under suspicious circumstances. According to police sources, the girl Mehti Dixit jumped from the ninth floor, while the police officer kept calling it an accident till late night. Her mother ADCP Shalini Dixit has reached the spot after the accident, while father Sandeep Dixit is out of the district on election duty.
The incident took place on Thursday night in Kamla Nagar police station area of the city. Relatives of the deceased student live here. According to TI Nirupa Pandey of Kamla Nagar police station, preliminary investigation has revealed that the student had left her house at Char Imli on Thursday night at around quarter to nine, telling her paternal grandmother that she was going to her maternal grandmother’s house.
She reached her grandmother’s house in the building, but did not find her grandmother there. She had reportedly gone to Pune. After this, she climbed one more floor, went to the ninth storey and jumped down from there. Police have kept the body in the mortuary of Hamidia Hospital and started investigating the case. On receiving information about the incident, Police Commissioner Harinarayanchari Mishra also reached the spot. He has given instructions to investigate the incident closely.
Was listening to Bhajan before falling
According to the information, the girl was listening to bhajan Ram Sia Ram before she allegedly jumped from ninth floor. A student who lives in the same building told that the girl had died by the time he reached there. There was a mobile in the girl’s pant which was not damaged and the bhajan Ram Sia Ram was playing on it. The police have seized the mobile and jacket from the spot. The mobile contains the number of a girl she last talked to. The police are likely to quiz the girl she last talked to so that the motive behind taking the extreme step could be revealed.
Children saw girl jumping
The girl jumping from the ninth floor was seen by the children playing below. Actually, when the student jumped from the ninth floor, children were playing below. As soon as she fell, all the children ran away from there. Hearing the sound of his fall, people came out of their houses. The girl student was identified and the police were informed. The student’s parents were engaged in assembly election duty, so both of them were not at home. As soon as they got information about the incident, the mother immediately reached the spot. The police reached the spot after the incident and found a diary. The girl was fond of writing a diary daily. She used to write good poems. She also has a younger brother.
