Pandals have been prepared in the city for Shardiya Navratri. The statue has been installed by the New Market Merchants’ Durga Utsav Committee for 58 consecutive years. This time, the pandal here has been prepared on the lines of Ram temple of Ayodhya.
Committee organizer Ravindra Singh and convenor Ajay Agarwal said that the form of Ramlala will be there in the tableau. A statue made of blue stone will be installed. The event of the coronation of Shri Ram will be shown here and this will be the special attraction of the tableau. Agarwal said that this time a 30 feet statue will be installed.
Garba will be organized by the committee on 16th October, the second day of its establishment. This time Shardiya Navratri is starting from 15th October and will end on 24th October. Ghatasthapana is done on the first day of Navratri.
Shardiya Navratri Ghatasthapana Muhurta
According to the scriptures, there is a tradition of performing Ghatasthapana and Devi Puja in the morning. But, in this Chitra Nakshatra and Vaidhriti Yoga are considered prohibited. According to the Panchang, on Sunday, October 15, 2023, Chitra Nakshatra will be at 6:12 in the evening and Vaidhriti Yoga will be at 10:24 in the morning. However, in special circumstances, when two phases of Chitra Nakshatra and Vaidhriti Yoga and Chitra Nakshatra have passed, Ghatasthapana can be done.
