Student attacked with knife after dispute, 3 held

Bhopal; A B. Tech student had a dispute with three youths in Anand Nagar area of the city. Within a short time a fight broke out between them. Meanwhile, the youth took out a knife and attacked the B.Tech student. The student got injured due to this. After receiving information about the incident, the police registered a case under sections of attempt to murder and arrested the accused.

According to Piplani police, Satyam Namdev, resident of Ashok Vihar Colony, is a second year B.Tech student in a private college. On Monday night he was returning from the library with his friends. On the way near Rishipuram Colony on Hathaikheda Road, three youths stopped him and started abusing him. When Satyam refused to stop abusing them, the youth started beating him. Meanwhile, a young man attacked Satyam with a knife. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and started investigation. Satyam was taken to the hospital for treatment. Here, the police have arrested the accused after registering a case of attempt to murder. Their names are Hrithik, Rajkumar and Prince. The police are interrogating them.

Burqa-clad women commit loot at knife point

In Aishbagh area, burqa-clad women entered the house of a man, held a knife to the his wife and four-year-old innocent child and looted Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and jewellery. The incident occurred on May 8, but the victim’s family informed the police on May 22. After receiving the complaint, the police has started investigation. However, the police are finding the entire story suspicious as no woman is visible in the CCTV footage.

According to Sub-Inspector Ganpat Singh posted at Aishbagh police station, Ejaz Aziz lives in Housing Board Colony. He supports his family by renting a house. He told in his complaint that he had gone to the mosque to offer Namaz at around 7 pm on May 8th. During this time, apart from his wife Mary, his 13 year old daughter and four year old son were present in the house. Then four women wearing burqa came and started talking about the rent of the house. After this, when the women asked for water to drink, Ejaz’s wife called them inside the house. As soon as they entered the house, the women took out a knife and thrust it at Ejaz’s wife and asked for the keys of the cupboard. When the woman protested, the other woman held a knife to the throat of the four-year-old child. Frightened by this, Ejaz’s wife gave the keys. After this, the accused women looted Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and gold and silver jewelery kept in the cupboard.

Police are investigating the matter.
