Chhatrapati Sambhaijnagar (Maharashtra), May 7 (UNI) AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has condemned Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his repeated “unsavoury” attacks on the Muslims and branding the community as “intruders” and alleging that in future Hindu women will be robbed of their “mangalsutras” to benefit Muslims.
The Prime Minister Modi has tried to create grave negative illusions about Muslims in his speech, Owaisi said addressing an election rally here Monday night at the historic Aamkhas Maidan in support of sitting MP and party candidate for Aurangabad Lok Sabha constituency, Imtiaz Jaleel.
He said: “The country of 130 crore people does not expect such statements coming from the Prime minister. It is not befitting his position to use words like ‘intruders’, or ‘Muslim women give birth to more children’.”
“What does he seek to gain by creating a fear psychosis among Hindus by saying that if Congress comes to power, they will snatch the mangalsutra from Hindu women and distribute wealth and gold and property to Muslims?” Owaisi said.
Owaisi said as per the Reserve Bank of India, from 2019 to 2024, the women of the country pledged one lakh crores of gold to meet the needs of the family.
“You think the Muslims of the country will snatch the mangalsutra from the Hindu sisters. Why do you think Muslims of this country are intruders? Think a little before you speak. You are occupying one of the highest responsible position,” Owaisi thundered.
Owaisi also targeted the INDIA bloc and said that not a single Muslim candidate was given a ticket from 48 constituencies in Maharashtra.
“Instead of worrying about winning 47 seats, all these parties are coming together to defeat Imtiaz Jaleel in the Aurangabad. Congress leaders are saying that parties elected on secular votes can get Muslim votes but Muslim candidates do not want them,” Owaisi alleged.
“Two Shiv Senas, two NCPs, half a Congress is trying to defeat Jaleel here but Hindus, Muslims, Dhangars, Sikhs, Christians are with AIMIM. So on May 13 only the Kite will fly,” he said.
“Even if Uddhav Thackeray turns secular, he does not nominate Muslim candidates, but definitely seeks votes from the Muslim voters,” he added.
In his speech, Owaisi said that Thackeray can go to any extent for his boy (Aditya’s) political future.
The AIMIM chief reminded the voters that Uddhav Thackeray had supported CAA, triple talaq, Equal Citizenship Act, UAPA Act.
“AIMIM is the only party that speaks in parliament without fear when it comes to criticising the government, it is me and Jaleel. MPs of Congress and other secular parties do not have the courage to say… Jaleel raised his voice on Maratha and Dhangar reservation,” Owaisi said.
Reminding all about the agitation for investors in the Adarsh Credit Union scam, Owaisi hailed Jaleel, saying: “He is not a leader of one community but popular among people of all castes and religions. So vote unitedly to elect him with a majority,” The AIMIM chief said, appealing to voters to ensure that there is no division of votes.
Owaisi also criticised both the candidates of Aurangabad lok sabha UBT’s Chandrakant Khaire and Shinde Sena’s Sandipan Bhumre in his speech.
Responding to VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar’s allegation that Owaisi stabbed him in the back, the AIMIM leader said, “It was not us but the Congress that stabbed you in the back. Called in the meeting, discussed, invited to the program of INDIA Aghadi but did not take you along with them,” added Owaisi.
