Bhopal: Riya alias Ritu Yadav, has emerged as the primary suspect in the disturbing rape case of a 15-year-old girl’s rape in Bhopal. During police interrogation, Riya, an event manager, disclosed that Mukesh Balchandani, a businessman from Bairagarh, assaulted the minor during a pool party. Following this event, Riya hosted a liquor party at her residence where Mukesh allegedly coerced the victim into dancing, forced her to consume alcohol and subsequently raped her.
The incident reportedly occurred on the night of June 20-21. After the party, the victim’s health deteriorated, prompting Riya to panic. Fearing that the girl’s condition would raise suspicions with her family, she chose to keep the minor at her home instead of sending her back. Riya is accused of having accepted a significant sum in exchange for facilitating the encounter with the minor.
Police have arrested six persons in connection with the case, while one suspect remains at large. Riya allegedly lured the victim to her home on June 19 under the pretense of illness, where she was introduced to several young men. The victim reported that she was given intoxicants mixed with juice at a farmhouse party and was sexually assaulted multiple times.
The victim managed to contact her mother through Instagram when Riya left for a beauty parlor, leading to her rescue by the police. Investigations are ongoing to determine if Riya is involved in any illicit activities disguised as event management.
