- Major initiatives for girl child welfare announced
Bhopal: The 41st Assembly of Inner Wheel District 304 was inaugurated with enthusiasm and grandeur at Radisson Hotel, Bhopal. The event commenced at 10:00 AM with a traditional prayer and lamp-lighting ceremony. Association President Mrs. Jyoti Mahipal formally inaugurated the assembly and delivered an inspiring keynote address.
District Chairman 2024-25 Meenakshi Sharma welcomed the attendees and shared her commitment to the Inner Wheel’s mission. Assembly Convener PAT Shashi Shukla acknowledged the efforts of all clubs, especially the Host Club, Inner Wheel Club of Bhopal. Club President Neha Sheriff also extended a warm welcome.
A key highlight was the installation of District Chairman 2025-26 Vibha Singh and the new District Executive Team. Mrs. Singh outlined priority initiatives for the year, including AI & Robotics Lab setup, large-scale plantation drives, E-waste management, a Medical Equipment Bank, and Thalassemia awareness campaigns.
Key projects inaugurated
Association President Mahipal also inaugurated key projects in Bhopal including an AI & Robotics Lab at Anand Vihar School benefiting 3,000 students annually, a mega plantation drive with 200 trees in Khanugaon, as part of a 1 lakh plantation goal and a medical equipment bank in collaboration with KAAR-E-KHAIR, expected to benefit over 1,000 patients annually.
The District Directory Harmony and E-Newsletter 2024-25 were also released. Mahipal emphasized the need for focused initiatives for girl child welfare, including a goal of 60,000 cervical cancer vaccinations.
Rotary District 3040 Governor Mr. Sushil Malhotra also addressed the gathering, expressing support for future collaborations. The assembly concluded with a vote of thanks from Vice Chairman Mrs. Arti Jain, marking a day of inspiration, unity, and impactful planning.
