SEC completes preparations for polls in MP

Bhopal: The Election Commission today announced the election dates in 5 states of the country. There are elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Mizoram and Telangana next month in November. Madhya Pradesh is ready for elections. The State Election Commission (SEC) has completed its preparations.

After the announcement of assembly election dates in Madhya Pradesh, state Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan held a press conference in Bhopal. He gave details of the Commission’s election preparations in the state. He told that the gazette notification of the elections will be issued on October 21. After that the process of filing nomination papers will start. Nominations can be filed till 30 October. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on 31st October and after that the nominations can be withdrawn by 2nd November.

64523 polling station

This time there will be 5 crore 60 lakh voters in Madhya Pradesh for the assembly elections. For this, 64523 polling stations will be created in the entire state. The election code of conduct has come into effect in the state from today itself. Anupam Rajan informed that control rooms will work 24 hours from district to state level. The Commission has strict instructions that publicity material will have to be removed from public property within 24 hours. Pictures of ministers will also be removed from the government website.
