Sanjay Seth takes charge as MoS in Defence Ministry

New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) Sanjay Seth on Tuesday assumed charge as Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence at the South Block here.

He was received by Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane and other senior officials of the Ministry, an official statement said.

After assuming the charge, the new MoS thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving him this responsibility.

He said that he was looking forward to serving under the guidance of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, with whom he had earlier worked in various capacities.

Seth said that he would strive towards fulfillment of several initiatives of the Ministry of Defence that were aimed at strengthening the Nation’s security.

Prior to assuming charge, Seth called on Rajnath Singh at his official residence here.

He is a second-time Member of Parliament from Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency. He was elected from the same constituency in 2019, and was a member of Standing Committee on Information Technology.

Seth was also a member, Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes. He was Chairman, Jharkhand State Khadi and Village Industries Board from 2016-2019.
