Rishabh Pant back on field batting

Bengaluru, (UNI) India’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is back on field batting for the first time after recovering from a life-threatening accident last year.

The star player was seen batting in a practice match, a video of which has gone viral on social media, especially X (Twitter).

The match was played on Independence Day and was organised by the JSW Foundation. Rishabh has not played a single match for Team India this year.

In the video, Rishabh can be seen kissing the field before entering to take guard in the middle amidst loud cheers.

In his innings, Rishabh is seen executing an off-drive, and a big shot dancing down the wicket.

Rishabh had met with a massive accident near Roorke in the early hours of December 30 when he was on his way to Dehradun to celebrate the New Year with his family.

The cricketer suffered grievous injuries after his luxury car, which he was driving, crashed into a divider, leaving him with multiple injuries.

Rishabh underwent surgery in Mumbai, and due to which he missed 2023 IPL, the World Test Championship final, and Border-Gavaskar Trophy at home.
