Jaipur, Feb 8 (UNI) The BJP Government in Rajasthan presented its first interim budget in the Assembly here on Thursday.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the budget estimates for 2024-25. The fiscal deficit will be Rs 67,240 crore, Revenue deficit Rs 23,869 crore, Revenue expenditure Rs 2,82,247 crore, Revenue receipts Rs 2,58,378 crore and the total expenditure for the fiscal year is estimated to be Rs. 4,86,615 crore.
In order to provide employment to the youth, 70,000 posts will be filled, target of installing solar panels on more than five lakh houses and free electricity up to 300 units per month, arrangement of 500 electric buses for cities like Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Kota, including inter-state, and spending about Rs 15,000 crore for tap water to 25 lakh rural families in the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Several announcements have been made, including a provision of Rs 1,000 crore for the establishment and upgrade of colleges, schools, hospitals, administrative offices, etc in deprived areas.
