Flights cancelled at airports in Paris due to strike – Civil Aviation Authority

Paris, July 2 (UNI) Flights are being cancelled at airports in Paris, as well as several other French cities, due to air traffic controllers’ strike, the country’s civil aviation authority said.

“Due to social unrest, [flight] cancellations are expected at the airports of Nice, Basia, Calvi, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Ajaccio, Figari, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Beauvai,” DGAC (Directorate General for Civil Aviation) said on X on Tuesday.

DGAC specified that the flight cancellations concern Thursday, July 3, which will be the first day of the air traffic controllers’ strike.

Last week, trade unions representing over 30 percent of French air traffic controllers announced that they were planning a strike on July 3-4, to demand better working conditions, an end to structural staff shortages, failed technical projects and poor management.
