Punjab: People in villages can now also avail “CM di Yogshala”

Chandigarh, Mar 14 (UNI) After the successful launch of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s ambitious project “CM Di Yogshala” in all the districts, the mass campaign aimed at keeping people of Punjab fit and healthy is all set to further spread its wings at village and block levels from Saturday onwards.

The government has recruited 315 new yoga trainers, who will be deployed in blocks and villages, to conduct free yoga classes.

Earlier, the ‘CM di Yogshala’ campaign was launched in 24 cities in three phases. The 24 cities include Amritsar, Ludhiana, Phagwara, Patiala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, SAS Nagar, Sangrur, Bathinda, Barnala, Faridkot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Mansa, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Pathankot, Rupnagar, Nawanshahr, Tarn Taran and Malerkotla.

Presently, over 1600 ‘CM di Yogshalas’ are being organised daily in the morning in these cities, wherein, over 35000 people are taking advantage of these yoga camps.

Pertinently, anyone having appropriate space at or near their homes to conduct ‘CM di Yogshala’ and a group of 25 people with them to join the yoga class, then the Punjab Government will send highly trained Yoga instructors to impart free Yoga training to people in open parks and other public places.
