New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) India and Jamaica inked four agreements during the bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jamaican PM Andrew Holness. These include on sharing digital public infrastructure and a MoU between India’s NPCI and Jamaica’s Egov.
The agreements are:
* Memorandum of Understanding between India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Office of the Prime Minister of Jamaica on Co-Operation in the Field of Sharing Successful Digital Public Infrastructure Aimed at Promoting Financial Inclusion and Social and Economic Transformation
* Memorandum of Understanding between NPCI International Payments Limited and Egov Jamaica Limited. The National Payments Corporation of India is an Umbrella Organisation that facilitates services like UPI Payment, Bharat Bill Pay, RuPay Card, FASTag, NACH, UPI & Adhaar Based Digital Payments in India.
*Memorandum of Understanding on The Cultural Exchange Programme between the India and Jamaica for the years 2024-2029.
*Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Sports between the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, India, and the Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment & Sport Government of Jamaica.
