PM Shri Tourism Air Service and Religious Tourism Heli Service launched

After Ujjain, Omkareshwar, air service will also start for Datia, Maihar, Orchha.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that air service is being expanded to religious tourism, other tourist places and big cities of the state on priority. CM Dr. Yadav inaugurated PM Shri Tourism Air Service and PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service. But he was addressing a program organized at the government airport, Bhopal.

Dr. Yadav said that with the air service being started in Madhya Pradesh, it will be possible to quickly transport people from one place to another for religious as well as business and administrative activities and in all types of circumstances. Our effort will be to build airstrips in all the districts and expand interstate air service.

CM said that after air service from Indore to Mahakaleshwar and Mamleshwar (Omkareshwar), like Kedarnath and Yamunotri, helicopter service will be started for Datia, Maihar, Orchha etc. for darshan in a short time. Efforts will be made to expand air facilities to all the major religious places of the state. There is also a plan to expand air service to other places important from tourism point of view like Kanha, Bandhavgarh.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the launch of both the schemes. He launched both the schemes by pressing the button of the remote and flagged off two planes and a helicopter.

Tourism will get boost

At the function, Tourism, Culture, Endowments and Religious Trusts Minister Shri Dharmendra Lodhi said that with the inspiration of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Madhya Pradesh is getting the gift of ‘PM Shri Tourism Air Service’ and ‘PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service’. This will give new wings to the tourism of the state. For the first time, two twin engine aircraft are being operated, in which air travel will be very safe. At affordable rates, tourists, devotees or common citizens will be able to reach from one city to another in a very short time. Through air service, remote areas of the state will be added to the tourism map, which will benefit the local people and new employment opportunities will be created.

MoU signed

An MOU was signed between the Tourism Board and Jet Air Service (Flyola) organization for the operation of PM Shri Tourism Air Service. In the presence of Dr. Yadav, Additional Managing Director of Tourism Board Mr. Vivek Shrotriya and Managing Director of the organization Mr. M Ram Ola exchanged views.

Smooth operation in two months

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director MP Tourism Board Shri Shivshekhar Shukla said that a contract has been signed with the organization Flyola for the smooth operation of PM Shri Tourism Air Service. Two 8-seater twin engine aircraft will be operated, which will connect the major airports of the state, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Bhopal, Khajuraho as well as other smaller airports.

PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service

Under PM Shri Religious Tourism Heli Service, access of devotees to the spiritual centers of Madhya Pradesh will be easy. Through this service, devotees, especially the elderly and disabled, will easily reach the two Jyotirlingas of the state, Ujjain and Omkareshwar and other religious places. Under the scheme there will be one twin engine helicopter and two single engine helicopters. One twin engine helicopter will be in Bhopal and one single engine helicopter each in Indore and Ujjain. Booking can be done online through Madhya Pradesh Tourism portal, Make My Trip, Agoda etc.
