Pay special attention to research: Parmar

Bhopal: The eighth meeting of the State Higher Education Council (SHEC) was held in the meeting hall of the Ministry on Thursday under the chairmanship of Higher Education, Technical Education and AYUSH Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar. In this meeting, a total of Rs 565 crore (Central share 339 crores and State share 226 crores) has been approved for various components (MERU, GSU, GSC and GIEI) of the Prime Minister Higher Education Campaign (PM-USHA).

It has been decided to form a committee to make the council more effective and implement it in accordance with the norms of the Government of India. Higher Education Minister Shri Parmar said that regular meetings of the State Higher Education Council should be held and the comprehensiveness of the council should be ensured by brainstorming extensively in accordance with the norms of the Government of India.

In compliance with the National Education Policy 2020, the transparent decisions of the council should lead to better implementation in the field of higher education. Prime Minister Higher Education Campaign (PM-USHA) is a milestone in the development of higher education in the state. There is a strong effort by the Government of India and the State Government to provide educational opportunities to the youth by increasing the gross enrollment ratio in the state through the efforts of excellence and strengthening.
