Pakistan lodge protest over inappropriate conduct targeting Pak team

Bengaluru, Oct 17 (UNI) Among the couple of protests lodged by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is with regards to an alleged inappropriate conduct targeting the Pakistan squad during the India-Pakistan match held in Ahmedabad on 14 October.

Another protest relates to the delay in visas for sports journalists, and second pertains to the absence of a visa policy for Pakistani fans.

“The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023.

“The PCB has also filed a complaint regarding inappropriate conduct targeted at the Pakistan squad during the India vs Pakistan match held on 14 October 2023,” PCB Media Xed.

The PCB however did not specify the inappropriate conduct targeting the Pakistan squad during the Ahmedabad match.

India beat Pakistan for the eighth time in World Cup history. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were allegedly targeted by the fans.

Earlier, Pakistan Team Director Mickey Arthur also complained about the World Cup game feeling like a BCCI event.
