No consensus on names in cabinet expansion

The expansion of the Shivraj cabinet in Madhya Pradesh has been postponed for the time being. There was a discussion between Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and State President VD Sharma regarding cabinet expansion late on Wednesday night and till Thursday morning, but the names could not be agreed upon.

Chief Minister Chouhan has gone on a tour of Chhindwara and Betul districts, and stood in Betul itself. However, it is almost certain that Rewa MLA Rajendra Shukla and Balaghat MLA Gaurishankar Bisen will become ministers. While some other names are being discussed. In fact, there was a meeting in the CM House late at night regarding the expansion of the cabinet. There was no consensus regarding the names. The screw is stuck on some names. Chief Minister Shivraj, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Kailash Vijayvargiya, BJP President VD Sharma, Hitanand Sharma were present in this meeting. Again a meeting of big leaders was held at the Chief Minister’s residence.

There was a discussion about the expansion of the cabinet, in which two names were almost fixed, but two names were continuously churned.

Instructions to stay back

There is a gathering of supporters at the residence of former minister Gaurishankar Bisen. Gaurishankar Bisen says that we have received instructions to stay in Bhopal only. There is probably some delay due to the busyness of the Chief Minister. Rajendra Shukla and I have received instructions to stay back in Bhopal. A large number of supporters from all over the region have reached his residence. Minister Ram Kishore Kavre also reached Gaurishankar Bisen’s residence.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh left for the State Hangar from the CM House after no consensus was reached on the names of the MLAs for ministerial posts. Chief Minister Shivraj is on a tour of Chhindwara and Betul districts. Will take night rest in Betul only. In such a situation, the speculations about cabinet expansion have come to an end for the time being. BJP MLA Rahul Lodhi had reached Bhopal late night with his supporters amid speculations about cabinet expansion. It is to inform that along with Rewa MLA Rajendra Shukla, Balaghat MLA Gaurishankar Bisen, Rahul Lodhi’s name is also at the forefront of the race for the post of minister. The representative of the Lodhi class has to be given a place in the cabinet.

Churning is going on to make a minister from Dalit or tribal class as well.
