Tokyo, Mar 18 (UNI) North Korea launched three missiles that flew 350 kilometers at an altitude of 50 kilometers, the Kyodo news agency reported on Monday, citing the Japanese Defense Ministry.
All three missiles fell into the Sea of Japan, the report added.
Earlier in the day, the Yonhap news agency reported that North Korea launched a ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan. This was the second launch of a ballistic missile this year. The previous one took place on January 14.
In mid-February, North Korean state-run news agency KCNA reported that Pyongyang had test-fired a new surface-to-sea missile, the Padasuri-6. The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said on the same day that the North had fired several unspecified cruise missiles off its east coast toward the Sea of Japan.
