Nadda celebrated Durga Puja on Maha Saptami

Kolkata, Oct 21 (UNI) BJP president Jagat Prasad Nadda on Saturday took part in the Durga Puja festivities to mark the Maha Saptami, the first day of the 4-day festival, the biggest celebration of West Bengal.

” I offered prayers to the Goddess Durga to give us strength so that we can continue with our fight to end the evils of family- dominated politics, corruption and infiltration in the country. May Maa Durga give us the strength to end those demonic powers that harm the society,” the BJP top leader said while visiting a community Puja pandal.

Nadda said that the “demonic forces” in the state should be defeated and ushered in good ones and bless the state.

Earlier this week, Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited the city and unveiled a community pandal of Durga Puja at Santosh Mitra Square.

Nadda arrived here this morning and was greeted at the airport by senior BJP leaders, including state president Sukanta Majumdar and leader of the opposition Suvendu Adhikari at the Dum Dum airport.
