Modi has become PRO of INDIA alliance, countdown begins for end of BJP regime : Stalin

Chennai, Sep 1 (UNI) Terming Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Opposition NDIA alliance, DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K.Stalin on Friday said the countdown for the end of the nine-year old fascist BJP regime has begun.

In his address at the joint press meet in the Mumbai meeting of INDIA alliance, copies of which were released to the media here by the DMK, he said from 19 parties in Patna to 26 in Bengaluru and 28 in Mumbai today, the INDIA alliance formed to safeguard the Union of India, is going from strength to strength, as each day passes.

Asserting that this is not a self-serving alliance, but an alliance formed to fulfil the aspirations of the people, save the country and the future of its 1.4 billion citizens, Mr Stalin said “Our Prime Minister has become the Public Relations Officer of INDIA alliance by talking ill about us wherever he goes instead of his government’s achievements.”

“I thank our PM Narendra Modi for making INDIA alliance popular”, he said.

Observing that the Union BJP Government was devoid of any achievements to show despite ruling the country for over nine years, the DMK Chief said Mr Modi was silent over the Rs 7.5 lakh crore irregularities flagged by the CAG report.

“The Modi Government is becoming unpopular day by day and the INDIA alliance becoming popular”, he added.

“Ours is not an alliance merely to win an election. It is an alliance to save the country and the future of its 1.4 billion citizens”, he said, adding, “this is not a self-serving alliance. This is an alliance formed to fulfil the aspirations of our people.”

“People of India have longed for the Opposition unity. We are gathered here to honour and fulfil their expectations”, Mr Stalin, who was made one of the members of the coordination committee formed at the two-day third meeting of INDIA alliance for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls, declared.
