Jaipur, Feb 6 (UNI) Justice Manindra Mohan Srivastava was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday.
Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath of office to Justice Srivastava at a ceremony held in the Raj Bhavan here. Justice Srivastava took the oath in Hindi.
At the beginning of the function, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant read out the appointment notification and warrant issued by President Droupadi Murmu.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, several ministers, Director General of Police U R Sahu, judges of the Rajasthan High Court, officials, advocates, and family members of Justice Srivastava were present on the occasion.
Justice Srivastava was earlier appointed to the Chhattisgarh High Court and was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court on October 18, 2021. He was given the additional charge of Chief Justice on the retirement of the Justice Akil Kureshi in March 2022.
