Srinagar, April 6 (UNI) Kashmir witnessed a bright, sunny Saturday morning after inclement rains earlier this week, officials said.
The Meteorological Department in Srinagar said mainly dry weather is expected over the plains of J&K for the next 24 hours, with the possibility of very light rain or thunderstorms at one or two places on higher reaches towards evening.
The weather is likely to remain dry during the next four days, after which another spell of rain and snow may occur.
The MeT predicted another spell of rain or snow from April 11.
“The weather will be generally cloudy with light rain or snow at isolated places between April 11 to 15,” the MeT said.
The MeT advised farmers to resume farm operations till April 10.
Meanwhile, Srinagar city recorded 4.5 degrees Celsius, southern Pahalgam tourist resort minus 0.9, and ski resort Gulmarg in the north 1 degree Celsius as the minimum temperatures on Saturday.
Jammu city recorded 17.1 degrees Celsius, Katra 15 and Batote 8.5 as the minimum temperatures.
